John Brennan joined Create. Express. in January 2020 as Strategic Operations Director. He has previously worked across both Public and Private Sectors within the UK, serving as Head of Service, and Director of Teaching and Technical Resources in the Higher Education sector since 2010. At UWE, Bristol, and UAL London, John worked as client lead on a number of major construction projects, namely the UWE Bristol Campus Masterplan (£30M), and the King Cross Relocation for UAL – Central Saint Martins, London (£200M).

Over the past 20 years he has developed and managed large-scale teams within the sector, ranging from skills teaching to service provision for students and clients.

John likes to focus on innovation and development within teams and structures. He was one of the founding members of the European Technical Heads Association (ETHA) which this year has affiliated with the European Academic Institutions Group (ELIA).

John has extensive experience working within the creative industries, including textile, ceramics, and animation. A lifelong learner, John graduated from Bristol Business School and NCAD(Dublin).
